System Administrator (Windows)

Salary: $85,000–$135,000 per year

What you will do

• Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise networks, servers, virtualization, storage, firewalls, and supporting infrastructure.
• Support Windows Server and desktop infrastructure, Active Directory, enterprise services, and end users of a USMC web application.
• Develop Splunk dashboards and troubleshoot issues in a multi-tier web application, including user provisioning.
• Manage nightly backups, data center media swaps, Microsoft patch deployment through WSUS, and infrastructure upgrades.
• Support lifecycle planning, cybersecurity requirements, vulnerability remediation, and secure enterprise environments.
• Maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, standard operating procedures, and annual system documentation reviews.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of relevant systems administration experience or experience in a related discipline.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent education, certifications, and experience.
• Working knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, virtualization, enterprise storage, backup and recovery, and infrastructure monitoring.
• Strong cross-platform troubleshooting skills and the ability to independently diagnose and resolve complex technical problems.
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance are required.
• DoD 8140 certification, including CompTIA Security+ CE, is required or must be obtained within 90 days of employment; on-site work at MCB Quantico is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter; Cisco or Nexus switching; or Juniper SRX/vSRX firewalls and Junos.
• Experience with SAN/iSCSI storage, Veeam, Splunk or comparable centralized logging platforms, RADIUS/MFA, and PKI authentication.
• Experience with DISA STIGs, RMF/ATO, ACAS/Nessus, PowerShell, scripting, or infrastructure automation.
