Software Engineering Senior Advisor - Hybrid (Mainframe/AWS)

Location: Hybrid role based in Morris Plains, New Jersey, United States

Salary: $166,754–$217,000 per year; an additional annual range of $130,200–$217,000 USD is also stated. Eligible for an annual bonus plan.

What you will do

• Design and develop a consolidated enterprise data warehouse and data lake covering customer, provider, claims, client, and benefits data.
• Deliver end-to-end business software solutions from concept through deployment.
• Design system architecture and modernize legacy Mainframe enrollment and eligibility file processing applications using AWS, Python, and Spark.
• Develop software integrations, REST APIs, web services, database queries, and library calls.
• Lead delivery planning, release and sprint planning, backlog grooming, Scrum ceremonies, KPIs, metrics, and stakeholder coordination.
• Drive CI/CD adoption, continuous improvement, regression test automation, and productivity tooling.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or a related field, plus 5 years of experience.
• Experience working with clients in healthcare or pharmacy benefit management.
• Experience with cross-functional system-level design, IBM Mainframe architecture, CICS, DBA and infrastructure coordination, and Electronic Data Interchange.
• Strong experience with COBOL, JCL, DB2, IBM Rational Developer for z Systems, Mercator, WTX 8.2, Ab Initio, RESTful microservices, and REST APIs.
• Experience supporting parallel execution during migration, building CICS regions, conducting sanity tests, and resolving architecture issues.
• Experience with REXX, ISPF, CA 7, Hiperstation, Jira, regression frameworks, and automated QA processes.
