Software Development Engineer III (Healthcare)

Location: Hybrid, with three days per week in an office in Burlington, Renton, Spokane, Vancouver, Portland, Medford, Salt Lake City, Boise, Lewiston, or Fargo. Candidates must live within commuting distance or be willing to relocate.

Expected annual hiring range: $104,000–$131,000 in Oregon, Washington, Utah, and Idaho; $90,000–$119,000 in North Dakota. Full salary ranges and a 15% bonus target may apply depending on location.

What you will do

• Develop, debug, deploy, test, and maintain application systems in development and production environments.
• Design complex program and system solutions for healthcare business processes and objectives.
• Prepare system designs, estimates, test plans, test data, and operational and technical documentation.
• Research and resolve complex technical issues for IT, business partners, and engineering teams.
• Lead work efforts, coordinate delivery, contribute to process improvement, and support software development lifecycle activities.
• Provide technical direction and mentor junior engineers in testing, secure programming, CI/CD, containerization, and API design.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least five years of relevant software development experience in a multi-platform environment.
• Experience with C#/.NET, Python, SQL Server, SSIS, stored procedures, and cloud technologies such as AWS or Glue.
• Experience with TDD and BDD, including unit and behavior test creation.
• Understanding of CI/CD, containerization, orchestration, RESTful or GraphQL API design, and software security practices.
• Ability to solve complex programming and system coordination problems, lead multidisciplinary work, and mentor other engineers.

Nice to have

• Experience with Java.
• Knowledge of AI tools, technologies, and integrations.
• Experience building data pipelines for data exchange, cleansing, validation, standardization, search, and ranking.
