Location: Cambridge, MA, United States; onsite. Must be able to relocate to the office and work 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, for the full six-month co-op.

Salary: $29–$45 per hour, commensurate with experience.

What you will do

  • Execute in vitro experiments focused on immune pathways.
  • Develop and optimize cell-based assays for immunomodulatory therapeutics.
  • Maintain mammalian cell cultures and prepare laboratory reagents.
  • Analyze flow cytometry data and other immunological readouts.
  • Collect, analyze, and present data at team meetings.
  • Collaborate on immunology research projects and support laboratory organization and equipment maintenance.

Requirements

  • Permanent authorization to work in the United States without current or future employment-visa sponsorship is required.
  • Enrollment in an accredited college or university throughout the co-op is required.
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in immunology, biology, biotechnology, or a related field.
  • Academic or practical experience in cell biology, preferably including cellular immunology.
  • Basic laboratory skills in aseptic technique, mammalian cell culture, and protein analysis.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and teamwork skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Nice to have

  • Bench research experience in immunology or a related field.
  • Experience isolating and culturing primary human blood immune cells.
  • Familiarity with flow cytometry and data analysis.
  • Knowledge of regulatory T-cell biology and inflammation.
