Co-Op IVIVA - Physiology

Location: Fully onsite at the IVIVA Medical facility in Medford, Massachusetts, from early January through June 2027; availability for 40 hours per week is required.

Salary: $18.50–$32.50 per hour.

What you will do

• Support the development of cell seeding and physiologic assessment procedures for engineered tissue constructs.
• Assemble culture system components.
• Seed and maintain mammalian cell and tissue culture experiments.
• Execute assays according to standard operating procedures.
• Create reports and analyze experimental data.

Requirements

• Enrollment in an accredited college or institution and good academic standing while pursuing a bachelor's or graduate degree in engineering or biology.
• Junior-year standing or above.
• Availability to work 40 hours per week onsite in Medford, Massachusetts for the full co-op period.
• Relevant coursework in biomedical, mechanical, or chemical engineering, biology, or a related field.
• Experience with standard office software.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with biomaterials and tissue engineering concepts.
• Proficiency with mammalian cell culture and aseptic technique.
• Working knowledge of renal physiology or renal cell functions.
• Creative thinking and the ability to learn quickly.
