Research Associate I, Analytical Development (Biotechnology)

Location: Onsite in Torrey Pines, California, United States; laboratory bench work is required.

Annual base pay: $71,000–$78,000, plus eligibility for a discretionary bonus and equity award.

What you will do

• Support analytical assay development and transfer for adoptive cell therapy projects.
• Perform cell health, biochemical, Mycoplasma, endotoxin, ELISA, immunogenicity, and T-cell assays.
• Conduct plate-based and flow cytometry assays to characterize NK cells.
• Maintain effector and target mammalian cell cultures in the laboratory.
• Generate, organize, trend, and analyze analytical data using Excel and JMP.
• Maintain laboratory records, support data integrity and regulatory compliance, and perform routine laboratory operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in biological sciences or biomedical engineering with at least one year of research laboratory experience, or a master’s degree in one of these fields.
• Basic aseptic or sterile technique skills and laboratory experience.
• Computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work productively in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction and changing priorities.
• Ability to work onsite in Torrey Pines, California, at a laboratory bench.

Nice to have

• Training in handling and maintaining mammalian cell cultures in a BSL-2 laboratory.
• Training in data analysis.
