Associate Scientist (Cell Biology)

Location: Foster City, California, United States; onsite laboratory role

Salary: $109,650–$141,900 annually, plus potential discretionary bonus, stock-based long-term incentives, paid time off, and benefits.

What you will do

• Conduct ex vivo analyses of blood, plasma, serum, tumor, and tissue samples from pre-clinical mouse studies.
• Characterize immune parameters including cell expansion, distribution, phenotype, and cytokine profiles.
• Process and analyze samples using flow cytometry, molecular biology, and other analytical techniques.
• Culture tumor cell lines and primary cells for flow cytometry and ddPCR assays.
• Present findings in project and cross-departmental meetings while collaborating in a cross-functional environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 4 years of experience, or master's degree and 2 years of experience.
• Degree in biology or a related field; immunology or cell biology specialization is preferred.
• Experience with multi-color flow cytometry, complex antibody panels, qPCR, and/or ddPCR assays.
• Immunology experience involving phenotypic analysis of multiple immune cell populations.
• Strong cell culture, aseptic technique, organizational, documentation, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality results through critical analysis.

Nice to have

• Experience developing and optimizing qPCR or ddPCR assays for research applications.
• Experience with ELISA, Luminex, or MSD protein-based assay platforms.
• Experience using FlowJo and GraphPad Prism.
