Water & Wastewater Engineer

Location: Denver, Colorado. Hybrid or on-site work is preferred, with remote work available for qualified applicants depending on role fit and performance.

Salary: $100,000–$140,000 annually, depending on experience. Higher compensation may be considered for candidates with significant experience beyond the minimum requirements.

What you will do

• Plan and design water and wastewater conveyance, treatment, and pumping systems.
• Develop and review design packages, including plans, specifications, and technical analyses.
• Prepare engineering reports, master plans, technical memoranda, and feasibility studies.
• Design and evaluate pipelines, pump stations, lift stations, storage tanks, and treatment facilities using hydraulic analysis and system optimization.
• Support proposals and project interviews, coordinate with clients, and contribute to project delivery.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Requirements

• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 4+ years of progressive water and wastewater engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or a closely related engineering discipline.
• Strong technical writing, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and contribute effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with treatment facility design, process modeling, and permitting.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Experience managing tasks, coordinating with clients, and supporting project delivery.
