Lead Wastewater Engineer

Salary: $153,600–$230,400 annually

What you will do

• Lead teams pursuing water and wastewater opportunities and develop proposals for local clients.
• Direct the design of complex water and wastewater infrastructure, including treatment facilities, collection systems, pumping, distribution, storage, reclaimed water, and rehabilitation projects.
• Perform planning studies, hydraulic calculations, condition assessments, technical specifications, drawings, cost estimates, and requests for proposals.
• Prepare technical reports, studies, and memoranda for clients.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, staffing, resources, client coordination, invoicing, and payments.
• Mentor staff and present project deliverables to clients.

Requirements

• B.S. degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• 15+ years of experience in water and wastewater engineering consulting for municipal clients.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.
• Experience preparing contract documents, drawings, and specifications for complex water and wastewater projects.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams, including structural, geotechnical, electrical, mechanical, instrumentation and controls, and architectural specialists.
• Strong communication, technical writing, client service, collaboration, and ethical decision-making skills.
