Location: Hybrid role based in Wilmington, Delaware; other U.S. manufacturing locations may be considered. Travel is required as needed, including global second-party environmental audits. A valid U.S. driver's license and passport are required.
Salary: $126,067–$196,980 annually, with a 14% annual bonus target.

What you will do
- Provide corporate technical guidance on drinking water, surface water, groundwater, wastewater regulations, permitting, and compliance.
- Interpret and apply U.S. programs including the Clean Water Act, Safe Drinking Water Act, NPDES, Sections 401 and 404, SPCC, CERCLA reporting, and aboveground storage tank regulations.
- Support manufacturing sites, capital projects, and new product development with permitting strategies, regulatory determinations, and treatment technology guidance.
- Manage contractors, consultants, and vendors delivering water quality modeling, biological assessments, permitting, and compliance work.
- Lead global second-party environmental audits and maintain corporate water-related environmental standards.
- Support regulatory advocacy, industry committee participation, training, monitoring, and continuous-improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- 10+ years of relevant professional experience, preferably in chemical or industrial manufacturing.
- Expertise in U.S. water and wastewater regulations, permitting, and compliance.
- Technical capability in water discharge modeling and water and wastewater treatment technologies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence across sites and functions without direct authority.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and passport, with the ability to travel as needed.
Nice to have
- Experience assessing international water and wastewater regulations for industrial manufacturing operations.
- Broader environmental regulatory experience covering air emissions and waste programs.
