TL;DR
Sr. Scheduler, T&D (Electrical Construction): Preparing, monitoring, and updating resource- and cost-loaded schedules for electrical construction projects with an accent on Primavera P6, CPM logic, critical path analysis, and schedule forecasting. Focus on evaluating delays and risks, developing recovery strategies, reviewing subcontractor schedules, and supporting project teams across transmission, distribution, substation, and renewable construction work.

Location: Onsite in Glen Allen, Virginia, with travel; reporting to a company office or field location in the United States

What you will do

  • Prepare, monitor, and update resource- and cost-loaded construction schedules in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
  • Develop CPM logic-based baseline schedules for projects and proposals.
  • Produce schedule updates, performance analyses, critical path reports, baseline-versus-actual views, look-ahead schedules, and milestone reports.
  • Conduct schedule and Work-in-Progress reviews and participate in Operations Reviews.
  • Review subcontractor schedule submissions and recommend solutions for identified concerns.
  • Evaluate delays and risks, develop recovery strategies, and provide scheduling software training to office and job site staff.

Requirements

  • At least five years of experience scheduling construction projects in the electrical industry.
  • At least five years of experience using Primavera P6, with expert proficiency in schedule creation, maintenance, updates, baselines, reporting, cost loading, and resource loading.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent education and experience may be considered.
  • Knowledge of construction documents, contracts, drawings, project management software, and data analysis tools.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available. Ability to travel up to 25% is required.

Nice to have

  • Experience with transmission, distribution, substation, or renewable construction projects.
  • CST certification.
