What you will do

• Assess illness and injury, establish priorities, and provide initial treatment to stabilize patients.
• Observe, document, and report patient conditions and treatments to healthcare providers.
• Assist with extricating and transporting sick or injured people to treatment centers.
• Communicate with medical personnel and stay current on treatment techniques and protocols.
• Conduct safety inspections, prepare reports, maintain patient records, and restock supplies.
• Maintain medical equipment, clean emergency vehicles, and follow infection control procedures.

Requirements

• Current, unencumbered EMT certification valid in the state where the work is performed.
• Current Basic Life Support certification with hands-on training from AHA, ARC, or an equivalent provider.
• At least three years of experience as an EMT with an ambulance or EMS service.
• Ability to work onsite in Grayslake, Illinois.
