TL;DR
Environmental Health and Safety Leader-Safety and Industrial Business Group (Manufacturing EHS): Leading strategic environmental health and safety programs across the Safety and Industrial Business Group with an accent on incident reduction, regulatory compliance, industrial hygiene, environmental protection, and manufacturing operations. Focus on developing EHS strategies, reducing site risks, enforcing standards, advising functional leaders, and coordinating with governmental agencies and local communities.

Location: Remote in Minnesota or onsite at the St. Paul/Maplewood hirify.global Center, United States. Travel may include up to 40% domestic and international travel. Relocation assistance may be authorized.

Salary: $221,591–$270,834 annually, including base pay and eligible variable incentive pay.

What you will do

  • Lead a multifunctional team of EHS professionals and implement strategic initiatives to reduce incidents, improve compliance, and increase operational efficiency.
  • Set medium- and long-term EHS strategies and operating plans aligned with business and corporate standards.
  • Direct programs covering health and safety assurance, air, land and water protection, industrial hygiene, ergonomics, fire protection, and related environmental areas.
  • Partner with operations, product stewardship, and plant engineering to prevent incidents and ensure compliance with regulatory and hirify.global standards.
  • Coach functional leaders and external partners on EHS data, methodologies, risk reduction, and best practices.
  • Act as a liaison with governmental agencies and local communities while driving timely resolution of EHS issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, completed and verified before starting.
  • 15 years of EHS technical practice and leadership experience in a private, public, government, or military environment.
  • 8 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Current, valid driver’s license.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in EHS and/or engineering.
  • Leadership and supervisory skills, including employment law, performance management, hiring, coaching, change management, conflict resolution, delegation, motivation, and strategic planning.
