Senior Safety Manager - Mission Critical (Data Center Construction)

Location: Remote - Minnesota; approximately 90–100% national travel and frequent field presence at active construction sites and mission critical facilities

Salary: $150,000–$160,000 base compensation per year

What you will do

• Lead safety programs across mission critical and data center construction projects nationwide.
• Oversee safety performance across multiple projects through audits, inspections, field assessments, and corrective actions.
• Lead risk reviews, pre-task planning, JHA, AHA, critical lift reviews, and site-specific safety program implementation.
• Partner with project executives, managers, superintendents, clients, trade partners, and operational teams.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, property damage, and high-potential exposures; lead root cause analysis and corrective action planning.
• Mentor safety personnel, deliver training, analyze safety metrics, and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Construction Management, Engineering, Environmental Health and Safety, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of progressive construction safety experience, including at least 5 years on large-scale mission critical, data center, industrial, or complex construction projects.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations, ANSI standards, and construction safety practices.
• Experience with incident investigations, root cause analysis, corrective action management, and safety performance metrics.
• Knowledge of excavation, crane operations, critical lifts, confined spaces, energized work, heavy equipment, and utility construction.
• Valid driver’s license, ability to pass substance testing, travel nationally on a full-time basis, work extended or non-traditional schedules, and obtain client-required access credentials and security clearances.

Nice to have

• Certified Safety Professional, Construction Health and Safety Technician, Occupational Health and Safety Technologist, OSHA 500, or First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor certification.
• Experience supporting hyperscale data center construction projects.
