EH&S Associate Director (Manufacturing)

Location: Madison, Wisconsin, United States; hybrid role with at least 50% travel

Compensation: $146,300–$271,700 annually, with potential eligibility for additional annual incentives.

What you will do

• Lead EHS initiatives across multiple facilities and cultures, promoting a zero-harm safety culture.
• Coordinate, align, and harmonize EHS programs, processes, communications, and standards across sites.
• Develop strategic EHS plans, implement initiatives, monitor progress, and report results to stakeholders.
• Lead environmental compliance covering permits, discharge and emissions limits, and hazardous or special waste management.
• Drive sustainability projects aligned with hirify.global targets and close regulatory gaps and deficiencies.
• Implement Safety Management Systems and Environmental Management Systems to support ISO external certification at focus facilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in EHS, operations, engineering, business, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience leading safety and environmental management systems.
• Experience leading safety across construction, field services, and multi-site manufacturing environments.
• At least 2 years of leadership experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to travel at least 50% of the time.

• Master’s degree or MBA.
• Spanish-speaking capability.
