Employee Benefit Analyst IV (Insurance)

Location: Primarily remote, with monthly in-person staff and/or carrier meetings; ideal candidates reside in Georgia, North Carolina, or South Carolina, including Atlanta, Charlotte, or Raleigh.

What you will do

• Analyze financial information, claims experience, benefit plans, and insurance contracts for clients with approximately 100–250 covered lives.
• Prepare market reviews, renewal rate projections, funding models, contribution analyses, claims reports, benchmarking, and other standard financial analyses.
• Develop alternative benefit strategies, plan models, and cost-reduction opportunities.
• Coordinate with insurance carriers on new business quotes and renewals, evaluate options, and negotiate rates and benefit features.
• Write client-facing executive summaries, renewal correspondence, and carrier communications.
• Maintain a full book of business and participate in peer reviews while using analytic tools with guidance.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience in employee benefits or a related field.
• High school graduation required; a college degree is preferred.
• Must hold or be willing to obtain a state Life & Disability insurance license.
• Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced team environment with minimal instruction.
• Comfort with internet-based programs and Microsoft Office products.
