Senior Workers' Compensation Claims Adjuster

Location: Charlotte, NC; hybrid work in one of hirify.global's offices. The role requires expertise in Tennessee workers' compensation claims; Mississippi experience is nice to have. Daily travel between locations and overnight travel of up to 10% may be required.

What you will do

• Investigate and analyze medium-complexity workers' compensation claims, including litigated files.
• Identify coverage, determine compensability, and review claim documents and legal pleadings.
• Develop action plans, evaluate damages, negotiate with involved parties, and settle claims within established guidelines.
• Establish and maintain reserves that accurately reflect claim exposure.
• Engage and manage external resources while monitoring resolution quality and costs.
• Collaborate with counsel, agents, policyholders, employees, and internal stakeholders to resolve claims.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least three years of experience handling medium-complexity workers' compensation indemnity claims.
• Expertise in Tennessee workers' compensation claims and ability to obtain required state licensing.
• Strong analytical, communication, relationship-building, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other computer applications.
• Ability to travel daily between locations and overnight up to 10%.

Nice to have

• Mississippi workers' compensation experience.
• AIC or SLA certification.
