Financial Resources Consultant - Employee Benefits National Accounts Underwriting

What you will do

• Analyze group insurance products, including life, AD&D, absence and disability, supplemental health, vision, and dental.
• Serve as the primary financial expert for account teams across RFPs, renewals, statutory feasibility, ad hoc analysis, and recurring experience analysis.
• Use evidence-based analysis to identify experience trends and develop recommendations with Sales and Service teams.
• Evaluate pricing, negotiate vendor costs, make claim picks, develop reserves, and calculate expense factors.
• Price self-insured products using complex data extracts and provide ROI analyses and financial exhibits.
• Create client-ready reports and presentations, develop analytical tools, and provide underwriting expertise in client meetings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or Statistics.
• 3–5 years of group underwriting experience, preferably supporting clients with more than 2,500 lives.
• Expert-level Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical skills and experience working with complex data sets.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, confidentiality, and commitment to peer review.
• Remote work based in Florida, United States.
