Financial Resources Consultant - Employee Benefits National Accounts Underwriting (Insurance)

What you will do

• Analyze group insurance products, including life, AD&D, absence and disability, supplemental health, vision, and dental.
• Serve as the primary financial expert for account teams and manage financial aspects of client programs, including RFPs, renewals, statutory feasibility, and experience analysis.
• Partner with Sales and Service teams to analyze client experience, identify trends, develop recommendations, and present findings internally and externally.
• Evaluate proposed pricing, negotiate with vendors, and price self-insured products using complex data extracts.
• Develop claim picks, reserves, expense factors, ROI analyses, reports, tools, and client presentations.
• Monitor the book of business and participate in client meetings to provide underwriting and financial expertise.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or Statistics.
• 3–5 years of group underwriting experience, preferably with clients covering more than 2,500 lives.
• Expert-level Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with the MS Office Suite.
• Strong analytical skills and experience working with complex data sets.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to perform peer review and review the work of others.

• Experience pricing Life and Absence/Disability products for clients with more than 5,000 lives.
