Senior Personal Injury Protection Claims Analyst

Location: Farmington Hills, Michigan, United States; 2-day hybrid schedule with onsite work in an hirify.global office.

What you will do

• Investigate losses, verify coverage, evaluate liability and damages, and determine claim compensability independently.
• Handle Michigan PIP Life Expectancy claims involving the Michigan Catastrophic Claims Association (MCCA).
• Prepare timely initial reports, status reports, and reimbursement requests for the MCCA.
• Negotiate and settle claims according to claims-handling guidelines.
• Review claim documents and legal pleadings, establish accurate reserves, and assess financial exposure.
• Collaborate with accounting and counsel to align balances and manage litigated claims.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 5 years of experience handling Michigan PIP claims involving the MCCA, including reporting and reimbursement requests.
• Ability to obtain appropriate state licensing as required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Excel.
• Strong analytical, communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
• Availability for a 2-day hybrid schedule with onsite work in Farmington Hills, Michigan.
