Senior Project Engineer - Environmental

Location: Clifton Park, New York office, with support for offices in Liverpool, West Seneca, and New York City; travel, including overnight travel, is required as needed.

Salary: USD $150,009.60–$160,000 per year, with potential eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Lead environmental engineering projects and technical assignments from proposal development through completion.
• Build client relationships and deliver technical solutions within project objectives, schedules, and budgets.
• Prepare and peer review proposals, scopes of work, cost estimates, engineering calculations, reports, and other deliverables.
• Provide technical leadership for field programs, data interpretation, reporting, and multidisciplinary environmental projects.
• Track project progress, budgets, and schedules while coordinating with Geotechnical, Building Sciences, Construction Management, and Air disciplines.
• Mentor and supervise junior engineering staff and represent the company at industry events and professional organizations.

Requirements

• BS in Engineering and Professional Engineer (PE) registration.
• At least 15 years of environmental engineering experience, including project engineering, proposal preparation, and budgeting.
• At least 5 years of project management experience.
• Experience performing QA/QC reviews of technical reports, engineering documents, calculations, and project deliverables.
• Strong analytical, report writing, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Valid driver’s license, ability to safely operate a motor vehicle, and willingness to travel, including overnight travel and occasional work outside normal business hours.

Nice to have

• Experience with RCRA, TSCA, PBS/CBS, SPCCs, SWPPPs, solid waste, and SPDES.
• Geotechnical engineering experience.
• PMP certification.
