Civil Project Manager/Project Engineer

Location: Lakewood, Colorado, United States; office-based role.

Salary: USD 130,000–150,000 per year, plus potential annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Conduct technical analyses and design water, wastewater, stormwater, roadway, site development, grading, and erosion-control systems.
• Prepare technical design reports, compliance reports, permit applications, and construction Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans.
• Present project designs and applications at Planning Board and authority-having-jurisdiction meetings.
• Manage tasks, budgets, schedules, invoicing, subcontractor procurement, and multiple dynamic projects.
• Perform fieldwork, construction monitoring, contractor oversight, and quality assurance/quality control.
• Support client service, multidisciplinary project delivery, and business development activities.

Requirements

• At least eight years of relevant experience and Colorado PE licensure, or the ability to obtain a Colorado PE license within three months.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and HydroCAD or comparable infrastructure modeling and hydrology software.
• Experience developing infrastructure technical plans, designs, specifications, and management plans.
• Strong understanding of local, state, and federal permitting, including Colorado infrastructure permits and municipal site plan reviews.
• Strong technical writing, data management, organization, decision-making, leadership, collaboration, and client communication skills.

Nice to have

• Established NCEES record.
• OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification with current refresher training, or ability to obtain it within 12 months.
• Experience preparing infrastructure, land development, and roadway cost estimates using RS Means and contractor contacts.
• Experience with SWPPP development, construction monitoring, and roadway contractor relationships.
