Senior EHS Consultant (Environmental Compliance)

Location: Houston, Texas, United States; requires commuting and travel to client project sites as needed, typically less than 25%.

Salary: USD $90,000–$145,000 per year, plus potential participation in an annual discretionary bonus program.

What you will do

• Develop new clients and projects, primarily for environmental compliance services, and support sales and bookings targets.
• Deliver EHS compliance programs, performance improvement services, compliance assessments, audits, and due diligence assessments.
• Manage EHS projects, including budgets, scopes, schedules, deliverable quality, and implementation of management systems.
• Perform environmental compliance work covering air permitting, SPCC planning, NPDES and stormwater reporting, SWPPP, EPCRA reporting, wastewater permitting, and hazardous waste management.
• Develop and implement written health and safety programs covering hazard communication, lockout/tagout, confined space, fall protection, PPE, electrical safety, hot work, and machine guarding.
• Build client relationships, collaborate with account teams, prepare client deliverables, and expand services across industrial sectors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a science or engineering-related field, or equivalent experience.
• 15–20 years of EHS experience, including leadership of complex projects in diverse manufacturing environments.
• Experience in business development, client account growth, EHS audits, compliance programs, and EHS due diligence.
• Experience designing and implementing safety and environmental management systems, including ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
• Strong written and verbal communication, technical EHS expertise, client-facing skills, and ability to manage relationships.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a background check, drug screen, physical, and motor vehicle records check.
