Commercial Lines Senior Casualty Consultant

Location: Denver, Colorado; Portland, Oregon; Seattle, Washington; or remote within the United States, with Central, Mountain, or Pacific Time Zone options.

Salary: $150,000–$180,000 annually. Target incentive: 10%.

What you will do

• Provide expert technical support to Commercial Lines Account Management and Sales Executive teams.
• Analyze, design, market, price, and place complex commercial casualty risks.
• Assess clients’ contractual liabilities and alignment with their insurance policies, then recommend improvements.
• Develop client-facing summaries, policy option models, data analyses, and proposals for prospective clients.
• Negotiate underwriting terms and pricing with carrier underwriting partners.
• Collaborate with claims and risk control teams on loss control strategies, recruit and train new hires, and guide department policies.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in a Commercial Lines agency with underwriting and technical experience.
• Deep technical knowledge of commercial insurance.
• Must hold or be willing to earn a Property & Casualty insurance license.
• Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
• Strong business, negotiation, data interpretation, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
• Comfort with internet-based programs and Microsoft Office products.

Nice to have

• ARM, CIC, or CPCU industry designation.
• Knowledge of Sagitta or ImageRight.
