Senior GIS Project Manager

Location: Austin, Texas, United States; candidates near other TRC offices may also be considered. Travel to client locations up to 50%.

Salary: USD $160,014–$178,942 per year, plus potential eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Lead the scope, delivery, and overall success of a complex electric utility GIS implementation program.
• Develop and manage project plans, scopes of work, schedules, budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting using waterfall, agile, or hybrid methods.
• Coordinate end customers, system integrators, vendors, technical specialists, and onshore and offshore project resources.
• Manage executive communications, stakeholder reporting, project meetings, workshops, presentations, and client engagement.
• Govern RAID logs, risks, assumptions, issues, decisions, quality management, and change management processes.
• Oversee the workflow from systems analysis and technical design through implementation, procurement, testing, production turnover, migration, and project closeout.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of project management experience in the utility domain.
• Experience leading large-scale, multifaceted, enterprise-wide operational technology projects in an electric utility environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or an equivalent field.
• Proficiency in project management practices, budgeting, financial management, scheduling, team leadership, and executive communication.
• Proficiency with MS Project and Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Ability to travel to client locations up to 50%.

Nice to have

• Experience implementing large GIS programs using ESRI, Smallworld, or Hexagon.
• PMP certification.
• Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) experience.
