Senior GIS Project Manager (GIS and Electric Utilities): Leading the implementation and delivery of complex GIS and operational technology programs for electric utility clients with an accent on project scope, schedule, budget, stakeholder, and executive communication management. Focus on coordinating onshore and offshore resources, governing risks and issues, managing system implementation through production migration, and delivering projects on time and on budget.
Location: San Diego, California; candidates near other offices may be considered. Travel to client locations may be required up to 50%.
Salary: USD $158,017.60–$178,942.00 per year

What you will do
- Lead the overall success of a complex GIS implementation program for an electric utility client.
- Manage project scope, plans, schedules, budgets, forecasts, resources, and financial reporting.
- Coordinate executive communications with clients, system integrators, vendors, technical specialists, and project teams.
- Oversee onshore and offshore resources and lead project meetings, workshops, presentations, and status reporting.
- Manage change processes, RAID logs, project risks, issues, decisions, deliverables, and quality activities.
- Guide the workflow from systems analysis and technical design through implementation, testing, production turnover, client migration, and project closeout.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of project management experience in the utility domain.
- Experience leading large-scale, multifaceted enterprise operational technology projects in an electric utility environment.
- Knowledge of the Project Management Body of Knowledge and project management methodologies, including waterfall, agile, or hybrid approaches.
- Strong leadership, organization, judgment, budgeting, financial management, communication, presentation, and team-building skills.
- Proficiency with MS Project and Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Ability to travel to client locations up to 50%.
Nice to have
- Experience implementing large GIS programs using platforms such as ESRI, Smallworld, or Hexagon.
- PMP certification.
- Scaled Agile Framework experience.
