Workforce Identity and Directory Services, VP - Enterprise Technology (Microsoft Entra ID)

Expected annual base salary range: $160,000–$225,000

What you will do

• Own Active Directory infrastructure, strategy, governance, and operations across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments.
• Lead the modernization roadmap, including forest and domain consolidation, AD tiering, domain controller reduction, and migration to Microsoft Entra ID.
• Architect and govern AD DS, AD CS, DNS, DHCP, PKI, Group Policy, trusts, replication, and authentication services for high availability and security.
• Drive adoption of Entra ID security capabilities, external collaboration controls, application identity governance, and service principal security.
• Partner with Security, Compliance, Risk, Infrastructure, and Application teams on regulatory requirements, incident response, disaster recovery, and root cause analysis.
• Evaluate passwordless authentication, decentralized identity, and AI-driven threat detection to guide technology strategy.

Requirements

• 10+ years of IT infrastructure experience focused on Active Directory and identity management, including 5+ years in an architect or senior engineering capacity.
• Deep knowledge of Microsoft 365 identity integration, Entra ID, authentication and federation protocols, and migration from legacy protocols.
• Experience with passwordless authentication, FIDO2, Windows Hello for Business, PKI, gMSA, LAPS, and AD security assessment tools.
• Proficiency with PowerShell, Terraform, DSC, and Microsoft Graph API for automation, reporting, and configuration drift detection.
• Knowledge of NIST, SOX, or comparable compliance frameworks related to identity management and PKI governance.
• Experience building, mentoring, and managing identity engineering teams, with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

• Microsoft identity, Azure architecture, or cybersecurity architecture certifications.
• Experience in financial services, private equity, or other highly regulated industries.
• Strategic identity architecture vision, zero trust expertise, and problem solving across complex multi-forest AD environments.
