Site Sanitation Lead

Location: Hastings, New Zealand — site-based role at King Street. Full working rights in New Zealand are required.

What you will do

• Develop, implement, maintain, and evaluate sanitation procedures, training, and operating standards.
• Lead verification and validation activities, including GMP audits, KHMS monitoring, and environmental monitoring programs.
• Analyse customer complaints and hygiene issues, identify root causes, and drive process improvements.
• Own management system standards, Golden Rules, reporting, and follow-up actions.
• Lead internal and external audits and ensure corrective actions are closed on time.
• Manage site relationships with third-party cleaning and pest-control providers and deliver sanitation plans and training.

Requirements

• Tertiary qualification in food science, food technology, or a related discipline.
• At least two years of experience in a quality role, including food safety or manufacturing experience.
• HACCP Principles & Application Level 4 certification.
• Experience with internal and external audits, risk assessments, and corrective-action closure.
• Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional project-management skills.
• Eligibility to work in New Zealand with full working rights.
