Farms Manager - Edendale

Location: On-site, Edendale, Southland, New Zealand. Based adjacent to the Edendale site, with weekend work required every second or third weekend depending on seasonal demands.

What you will do

• Lead day-to-day operations across pasture, livestock, infrastructure, and farm development activities.
• Coordinate with wastewater and irrigation teams to support compliant and effective wastewater application.
• Manage harvesting programmes, contractors, and stakeholder relationships to maximise pasture quality and productivity.
• Oversee animal health, agronomy, and the production of approximately 10 million kilograms of silage annually.
• Lead a team of two while building capability, engagement, safety, and operational performance.

Requirements

• Extensive farm management experience, ideally across multiple blocks or large-scale operations.
• Strong knowledge of agronomy, pasture management, and animal health.
• Experience with operational planning, contractor management, and stakeholder relationships.
• Collaborative communication skills and the ability to work across multiple business units.
• Computer literacy and confidence using technology to support farm operations.
• Hands-on leadership style and willingness to work directly in farm operations.
