Food & Beverage Team Leader

Location: Wellington, New Zealand; on-site role with early morning, late evening, weekend, and public holiday shifts. Eligibility to work in New Zealand is required; immigration visa support or sponsorship is not available.

What you will do

• Assist with leading and supervising the food and beverage team to deliver efficient, friendly, and professional service.
• Maintain food and beverage service, hygiene, cleanliness, room service, and guest billing standards.
• Build relationships with VIP and regular guests and resolve their service needs.
• Coordinate with the kitchen brigade to ensure timely and accurate service delivery.
• Manage shift revenue, cash and charge summaries, equipment controls, breakage records, and stock takes.
• Train and develop staff in service procedures and sales techniques.

Requirements

• Knowledge of food and beverage service and previous experience in a similar role.
• Team-oriented approach with strong customer service, communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and communicate smoothly with the kitchen.
• Eligibility to work in New Zealand is required; visa support and sponsorship are not available.
• Ability to work shifts starting from 6 a.m., late evening shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• A current GM Certificate or the ability to obtain one; obtaining it requires an LCQ certificate and three months of supervisory experience at a licensed premises in New Zealand.
