Roving Relief Chef

Location: On-site across Summerset village kitchens in Hawke’s Bay, including Napier, Te Awa, Havelock North, and Hastings, New Zealand

What you will do

• Prepare and cook set meals for residents who cannot visit the café.
• Prepare short-order meals, café specials, and varied cabinet offerings.
• Cater for resident fine-dining and themed events.
• Follow the approved Food Control Plan and food safety procedures.
• Support and guide kitchen colleagues on food preparation techniques.

Requirements

• Professional cookery qualification.
• Previous experience working as a Cook or Chef.
• Sound understanding of Food Safety Plans.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen preparing both set meals and café orders.
• Collaborative approach and willingness to share culinary knowledge.
