Head Gardener

What you will do

• Maintain gardens, lawns, courtyards, and landscaped areas according to the village Gardening and Landscaping Plan.
• Keep buildings, grounds, and amenities clean, tidy, and welcoming, including rubbish removal.
• Lead and supervise gardening staff and contractors through task delegation, training, and mentoring.
• Manage resident garden entitlements, maintenance arrangements, scheduling, records, and seasonal planning.
• Coordinate with Property and Village Managers on planning and budgets, while maintaining irrigation, tools, and garden infrastructure.
• Provide a professional and welcoming presence for residents, families, visitors, and staff.

Requirements

• Experience in gardening or landscaping.
• National Certificate in Horticulture (Amenity) Level 4 or above.
• Current Growsafe Standard certificate.
• Strong organisational skills and good physical fitness.
• Passion for creating attractive outdoor spaces and a warm, respectful approach to people from diverse backgrounds.
