HVAC Tech IV (HVAC/Refrigeration)

Location: Tufts Medical Center; onsite facility role

Pay range: $31.92–$39.90 per hour

What you will do

• Install, inspect, test, operate, and maintain HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, and refrigeration equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve issues involving HVAC equipment, pneumatic and digital controls, refrigerators, freezers, and ice machines.
• Follow work orders, blueprints, diagrams, specifications, and verbal instructions.
• Analyze repair calls, recommend corrective actions, and verify completed work.
• Maintain records, manage equipment and supplies, and report unsafe or faulty conditions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current HVAC/Refrigeration license.
• At least three years of experience as an HVAC Technician.
• Ability to read blueprints and written instructions and apply mathematics and measurements.
• Ability to solve complex problems, communicate verbally and in writing, and read and write English.
• Ability to safely operate hand and stationary power tools and perform physically demanding work, including lifting, climbing ladders, bending, squatting, standing, and walking.
