HVAC Technician - Rental Services (HVAC)

Location: Springfield, Tennessee; on-site five days per week

Salary: $26.35–$49.92 per hour

What you will do

• Test, start up, commission, maintain, and service HVAC systems on assigned projects.
• Diagnose and repair commercial HVAC equipment and systems at customer locations or the Rental Services depot.
• Serve as the direct customer contact and communicate inspection and service findings to customers and Project Managers.
• Review building layouts and engineering specifications, forecast issues, gather materials, and coordinate installation and repair work.
• Use diagnostic software, hand tools, blueprints, and engineering specifications to complete repairs.
• Maintain safety standards and asset records while working overtime, including occasional overnight stays, as business needs require.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• 2–5 years of commercial HVAC experience, or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and handheld computers such as smartphones or iPads.
• Ability to safely operate a vehicle and use ladders, rooftops, safety equipment, and specialized tools.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including climbing, kneeling, confined-area access, extended standing, and lifting more than 40 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to work at heights, around moving mechanical parts, electrical hazards, noise, and variable weather conditions.

Nice to have

• EPA certification, such as HVAC Journeyman, Boiler Operator, or Gas Installer certification.
