Technical Safety Training Manager (OSHA)

Location: United States; duties are performed at a company-designated office or field location, with up to 75% travel.

What you will do

• Manage the training component of the company Safety Management System and coordinate training needs with Transmission & Distribution Operations.
• Develop, schedule, deliver, and facilitate OSHA, safety, compliance, and craft-specific training in virtual and in-person formats.
• Oversee the EICA Crane Certification program and deliver crane operator training.
• Conduct train-the-trainer, cross-training, and instructor development programs for the Safety Department.
• Verify field compliance with federal, state, provincial, and local regulations, company policies, client requirements, and industry best practices.
• Manage training content, completion reporting, digital materials, and learning management system data in collaboration with internal stakeholders.

Requirements

• 7–10 years of related transmission and distribution construction experience.
• Current Journeyman Lineman designation or at least 6 years of relevant experience in a safety-focused transmission and distribution role.
• Required OSHA ET&D Partnership 10- and 20-hour Instructor and OSHA 500 Outreach Instructor certifications.
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Education, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Expertise in EPZ bonding and grounding, U.S. OSHA/DOT requirements, OSHA VPP, OSHA ET&D Strategic Partnerships, electrical and utility construction safety, and Energy-Based Safety.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available. Must be able to travel up to 75%, drive with proper licensing, use multiple transportation methods, and stay in public accommodations.

Nice to have

• Experience creating multimedia training materials and managing content and learners in an LMS.
• Spanish-speaking ability.
