Learning and Development Specialist (Manufacturing)

Location: Richmond, Utah 84333, United States; onsite plant-based role

Salary: $66,000–$90,800 per year

What you will do

• Manage plant-wide training programs from concept through implementation and delivery.
• Analyze training needs and develop content covering orientation, safety, quality, SOPs, SSOPs, SOCs, 5-S, Lean Manufacturing, equipment, and job-specific skills.
• Create and oversee training materials, onboarding OJT checklists, objective skills reviews, and advancement paths from training to proficient and advanced status.
• Develop SOPs and tracking methodologies for major equipment and maintain accurate training and education records.
• Create a Train-the-Trainer program and analyze training results to support engagement and turnover reduction.
• Partner with department managers and supervisors, coordinate educational events, and support training tools such as Alchemy and Red Zone.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Education, Training and Development, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in training coordination or administration, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong organizational, communication, prioritization, and stakeholder-support skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and learning management systems or other training software.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, adapt to changing priorities, and support continuous improvement.
• Ability to adjust schedules for off-shift or weekend work; some travel may be required.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with manufacturing processes, equipment, and safety regulations.
• Spanish bilingual skills.
• Experience with Alchemy or Red Zone learning software.
