EHS Training Specialist II (Aerospace)

Hiring range: $74,000–$112,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Deliver scheduled EHS training through classroom instruction and hands-on assessments for aerial lifts, forklifts, confined spaces, fall protection, cranes and rigging, LOTO, and other safety procedures.
• Develop training content, instructional materials, and assessments in response to operational needs, regulatory changes, and emerging hazards.
• Manage training schedules, enrollment, completion tracking, and compliance timelines.
• Coordinate with EHS, operations leadership, hiring managers, and subject matter experts to support onboarding and ongoing training capacity.
• Serve as a visible EHS resource, model safe work practices, and address training gaps identified during daily operations.
• Inspect specialized safety equipment, rigging gear, harnesses, and training mock-ups before and after training.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Education, or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 3 years of EHS training experience in manufacturing, aerospace, or industrial environments.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, training requirements, and hands-on practical assessment methods.
• Experience developing curricula, instructional materials, and assessments for technical audiences.
• Experience operating overhead or gantry cranes, forklifts, scissor lifts, and aerial or boom lifts.
• Experience with Learning Management Systems and training record management.

Nice to have

• CSP, CHST, CUSA, OSHA 500, or OSHA 501 Trainer certification.
• NCCCO- or NCCER-certified crane or rigging trainer credentials.
• Instructional design certification or formal train-the-trainer credentials.
• Experience in aerospace, defense, or advanced manufacturing training.
