IT Project Management Specialist

Location: Richmond, Virginia; hybrid schedule required with in-office days on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday for Virginia residents. Core working hours target 9am–5pm EST.

Salary: $68,900–$103,000 annually, plus eligibility for a performance-based bonus incentive.

What you will do

• Manage small IT projects and coordinate workstreams for larger projects under the direction of a Senior Project Manager.
• Act as Scrum Master for at least one Scrum Team, supporting delivery and continuous improvement.
• Communicate project status clearly and transparently in written and verbal formats.
• Identify and escalate risks, issues, dependencies, and process improvement opportunities.
• Control project scope, schedules, and deliverables using Waterfall, Scrum, Kanban, and hybrid methodologies.
• Build cooperative relationships and collaborate with business areas across organizational boundaries.

Requirements

• College degree or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of project management experience.
• Experience developing strategic relationships and leading customer-focused projects across organizational boundaries.
• Strong planning, organizational, execution, communication, analytical, and business problem-solving skills.
• Experience gathering, documenting, and developing project business scope with business stakeholders.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and project management fundamentals.
