Technical Project Manager (Medicaid)

Location: Must reside in California; hybrid position with travel and onsite requirements

Salary: $70,100–$120,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead and support project planning, work plans, schedules, milestones, deliverables, resource plans, and project governance artifacts.
• Monitor scope, schedule, budget, quality, and delivery performance; identify variances and recommend corrective actions.
• Manage risks, issues, decisions, assumptions, dependencies, action items, and status reporting.
• Prepare dashboards, status reports, leadership briefings, steering committee materials, and oversight documentation.
• Coordinate delivery across agencies, vendors, system integrators, business owners, technical teams, and client leadership.
• Support consulting engagements through research, process improvement, client recommendations, proposal development, and presentations.

Requirements

• Residence in California and availability for hybrid work, travel, and onsite meetings
• Bachelor’s degree.
• 7+ years of project management experience, including 4 years in a lead role.
• Required Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, business writing, presentation, data analysis, problem-solving, and client service abilities.
• Knowledge of Medicaid Enterprise Systems, Medicaid Information Technology Architecture, system lifecycle management, CMS expectations, and public-sector oversight requirements.
