TL;DR

Location: Laredo, Texas, United States; regular on-campus attendance and face-to-face interactions required

Salary: $17.54 per hour

What you will do

  • Plan, coordinate, implement, and monitor departmental programs and services.
  • Coordinate concerts, recitals, auditions, exhibitions, lectures, workshops, conferences, and other special events.
  • Schedule facilities and manage ongoing changes related to departmental programming.
  • Coordinate guest artist logistics, contracts, agreements, approvals, purchasing, and related documentation.
  • Support event communications and promotion through announcements, programs, posters, website updates, and social media content.
  • Track records, projects, deadlines, and approvals while serving as a contact for faculty, students, staff, and external partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Arts Administration, Communications, Marketing, Business, or a closely related field.
  • No prior experience required.
  • Knowledge of word-processing and spreadsheet applications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, organizational, multitasking, and customer-service skills.
  • Ability to maintain attention to detail, exercise sound judgment, and work cooperatively.
  • Regular attendance on campus and occasional evening or weekend work are required.

Nice to have

  • One year of administrative, event coordination, customer service, office support, or related experience.
  • Experience supporting academic programs, events, or arts-related operations.
  • Knowledge of event coordination, scheduling, contract administration, and promotional workflows.
