What you will do

• Coordinate the Nutrition department’s graduate programs and support the Associate Department Head and Graduate Program Committee.
• Assist with program assessments, reviews, course scheduling, student outreach, recruitment, and graduate student support.
• Coordinate seminars, travel logistics, speakers, summer undergraduate research programs, and international field-trip learning experiences.
• Identify funding opportunities and assist with data collection and preparation for training grants.
• Support career and professional development activities, including coordination of the Nutrition Career Club.
• Manage science communications, website and social media support, branded materials, departmental communications, and events.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience, plus four years of related experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
• Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
• Work is based in College Station, Texas.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a science-related field or science communication.
• Three to five years of experience in academic program coordination, marketing, or science communications.
• Website design and management experience.
• Social media management skills.
