TL;DR
Network Administrator (LAN/WAN, VMware, RMF): Administering classified and unclassified networks, communication systems, VMware servers, and government IT infrastructure for the Live Mission Operations Capability program with an accent on network security, system availability, and certification support. Focus on integrating new systems, resolving infrastructure issues, supporting RMF and DIACAP artifacts, and maintaining reliable IT services in a classified defense environment.
Location: Hill Air Force Base in Ogden, Utah, United States; onsite role

What you will do
- Administer LAN, WAN, web, communications, wireless, voice, and government IT systems across classified and unclassified environments.
- Support network security, VMware server administration, high-availability solutions, infrastructure upgrades, and system performance analysis.
- Install and analyze government-furnished computer systems and assist with communications cabling, including CAT5 and fiber.
- Provide help desk support, manage IT trouble tickets, and support access to government acquisition and life-cycle applications.
- Develop certification documentation, support DIACAP or RMF efforts, and advise on system security risks and shortfalls.
- Resolve systems integration issues, monitor emerging technologies, and recommend effective IT and communications solutions.
Requirements
- Must be a US citizen and hold an active US security clearance.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related field with at least 3 years of relevant experience, including 3 years in the DoD; alternatively, 7 years of directly related experience, including 5 years in the DoD.
- Experience in information systems technology, computer science, and business systems.
- DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification, such as Security+ CE or CCNA Security.
- Ability to support classified and unclassified networks and work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Proficiency with LAN/WAN environments and VMware server administration.
- Familiarity with DIACAP or RMF processes.
- Knowledge of ABSS, CAS, CPARs, JCALS, JEDMICS, DSAMS, and related government applications.
- Experience supporting DoD personnel, cross-functional teams, and classified-environment help desk operations.
