Location: Beavercreek, Ohio, United States; office or hybrid environment. U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance are required.

What you will do
- Implement and manage complex LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless network solutions.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, connectivity, and other escalated network issues while providing tier-2 support.
- Monitor network performance, analyze traffic and metrics, resolve bottlenecks, and optimize efficiency.
- Implement network security controls, including firewalls and intrusion detection and prevention systems.
- Document network architecture, configurations, changes, procedures, incidents, and performance trends.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams and vendors, provide guidance to junior engineers and IT staff, and recommend infrastructure improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 2+ years of related experience; relevant experience may substitute for education, with 6 years required without a degree.
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, switching equipment, wireless networking, VPNs, and network hardware.
- Experience supporting corporate networks, maintaining SLAs, and supporting corporate IT departments.
- Basic understanding of firewall principles and maintenance, plus familiarity with AI-assisted network troubleshooting.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance are required.
- Ability to lift 25 pounds regularly, work at a computer for extended periods, participate in after-hours on-call duties, and travel occasionally.
Nice to have
- CCNA certification and experience with SD-WAN, VoIP, network automation platforms, and zero trust networking.
- Strong knowledge of network security practices, tools, protocols, and procedures.
- Hands-on experience with fiber optics, UTP, and a broad range of network hardware and media.
