TL;DR
IATD Business Development Manager (Medical Device and Diagnostics) (Medical Devices and Diagnostics): Developing and executing growth strategies for medical device manufacturers, OEMs, and contract manufacturing organizations with an accent on strategic accounts, complex sales cycles, and customer application requirements. Focus on qualifying new opportunities, translating technical and regulatory needs into commercial solutions, and leading negotiations through closing.

Location: On-site at the hirify.global Center in St. Paul, Minnesota, USA, at least four days per week. Travel may include up to 50% domestic travel. Relocation assistance may be authorized.

Expected annual compensation: $164,612–$201,193, including base pay and eligible variable incentive pay.

What you will do

  • Develop and execute business growth strategies for medical device manufacturers, OEMs, and contract manufacturing organizations.
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue opportunities across target accounts and market segments.
  • Build relationships with engineering, sourcing, quality, manufacturing, and executive stakeholders.
  • Lead sales cycles from prospecting and application development through negotiation and closing.
  • Align products and solutions with customer performance, quality, validation, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage strategic account plans, sales pipelines, forecasts, CRM tracking, pricing discussions, and customer issue resolution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, completed and verified before starting.
  • At least five years of combined sales and/or marketing experience.
  • Experience with medical device materials, components, manufacturing processes, product design, or production environments is valuable.
  • Demonstrated success managing complex sales cycles and strategic customer relationships.
  • Technical aptitude for translating customer application needs into commercial opportunities.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

  • Experience with global or multi-site customers and value-added resellers, including distributors and converters.
  • Expertise in key account management and cross-functional collaboration with senior leaders.
  • Strong analytical skills using point-of-sale, CRM, and business intelligence data.
