Advanced Target Engineer

Location: Huntsville, Alabama, Redstone Arsenal; travel up to 30%

hirify.global supports the Missile Defense Agency with operational and developmental testing and the development of target solutions for Missile Defense System testing.

What you will do

• Support assembly, integration, and testing of air-launched targets deployed from C-17 aircraft.
• Participate in Target Design Reviews, Range Integration Working Groups, mission planning meetings, range safety working groups, and other technical reviews.
• Coordinate with Air Force base personnel, test planning teams, and Target Program Offices on sites, resources, mission timelines, drop points, and trajectories.
• Support the Integrated Master Test Plan process and provide inputs for mission test design and execution.
• Develop support agreements, IAR/PD documentation, and Forward Staging Area infrastructure requirements.
• Maintain briefing and access-control documentation for flight-line and C-17/target-system integration and checkout activities.

Requirements

• Master's degree in a related field, or a bachelor's degree with five additional years of relevant experience.
• At least 10 years of recent relevant experience.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain at least a Secret security clearance.
• Ability to adapt to short-notice requirement changes, deadlines, changing schedules, competing priorities, and unpredictable events.
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, professional team environment with strong oral and written communication skills.

Nice to have

• Ability to acquire a Class III FAA flight certification.
• In-depth knowledge of Missile Defense System capabilities and MDA test planning, processes, and execution.
• Experience developing standardized plans, processes, and checklists.
• Proficiency with Windows-based software, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and MS Teams.
