Senior Communication Systems Engineer (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Define system requirements from customer and operational needs and ensure compatibility across physical, functional, and program interfaces.
• Develop space architecture concepts, subsystem and payload designs, high-level hardware and software architectures, and CONOPS.
• Plan verification activities and support test execution.
• Develop requirements-management processes covering flow-down and traceability.
• Perform risk analysis, create mitigation strategies, and resolve issues affecting engineering progress.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and contribute to continuous improvement across complex communication programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• At least five years of experience focused on space-based communication payloads.
• Practical background in antenna and RF systems.
• Experience with at least one scripting language and one programming language.
• Experience collaborating with product and component developers and vendors delivering critical system functionality.
• Proficiency with a requirements-management tool such as DOORS or Jama, plus strong technical communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
