AI Engineer (Generative AI)

Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada, with hybrid work requiring 40% home office per week

Salary: 100,500–150,500, including target bonus

What you will do

• Design, develop, deploy, and support scalable Generative AI and Agentic AI solutions for hirify.global’s Global Business Units.
• Architect RAG solutions, multi-agent systems, AI copilots, conversational data interfaces, and autonomous agents for commercial use cases.
• Build reusable AI components, frameworks, libraries, services, prompt strategies, orchestration workflows, and tool integrations.
• Develop production-ready code with testing, CI/CD, observability, documentation, scalability, reliability, and performance optimization.
• Monitor and improve AI application quality, performance, adoption, governance, security, privacy, and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with product, business, architecture, data science, data engineering, and software engineering stakeholders while mentoring junior technical staff.

Requirements

• Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related quantitative discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience building and deploying AI/ML solutions in production, including 2+ years with GenAI, LLM, RAG, or Agentic AI applications.
• Strong programming and software engineering skills in Python, Java, or another enterprise language, plus SQL/NoSQL, REST APIs, and microservices.
• Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, Transformers, vector databases, enterprise data platforms, AWS or GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of AI lifecycle management, evaluation, monitoring, governance, responsible AI, security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
• Fluent English required; the role is based in Toronto with a hybrid office schedule.

Nice to have

• Experience with Agile/Scrum, Jira, Confluence, AWS ML Engineer certification, or SnowPro Data Scientist certification.
• Experience in life sciences, healthcare, commercial operations, or another regulated industry.
