Senior AI Engineer (Contract Intelligence)

Location: Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada; at least 50% of each quarter spent in the office or in the field

Salary: CAD 169,000–253,000 base pay range, with potential bonus or commission and annual refresh stock grants

What you will do

• Build AI features and intelligent agents for Contract Lifecycle Management and contract intelligence.
• Architect highly available, scalable, and secure LLM-driven solutions and agentic workflows.
• Develop backend services and infrastructure that deliver AI capabilities across hirify.global products.
• Continuously evaluate agent performance and user interactions to improve customer experience.
• Integrate agents with the broader hirify.global agents ecosystem and ensure reliable interoperability.
• Lead technical workstreams, own delivery, and mentor junior-to-mid-level engineers.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience focused on backend architecture, distributed systems, system design, scalability, and performance.
• 3+ years integrating LLMs or foundation models into enterprise products.
• 1–2+ years building AI orchestration frameworks such as LangChain or LlamaIndex and reliable agentic workflows.
• 4+ years using cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, plus 2+ years operating containerized cloud-native services with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with infrastructure as code and GitOps, observability, relational databases, caching, asynchronous processing, queues, testing, and secure production engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or an equivalent technical field, along with strong collaboration, ownership, and mentoring skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Terraform, Helm, ArgoCD, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Sentry, or Datadog.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, Celery, Kafka, SQS, React, TypeScript, FastAPI, or Django.
• Experience benchmarking model outputs and creating automated evaluation metrics for retrieval and agent behavior.
