Senior AI Engineer - Evisort AI

Location: Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada; at least 50% of each quarter must be spent in the office or in the field.

Salary: CAD 169,000–253,000 per year, plus possible bonus and stock grants.

What you will do

• Build tailored user experiences powered by LLMs, foundation models, knowledge graphs, personalization, and predictive analysis.
• Design, develop, and deploy scalable AI products and services across the product ecosystem.
• Create reusable application layers around AI models with robust error handling, evaluation, and seamless UX integration.
• Build and operate AI pipelines for training, deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
• Optimize latency, token usage, reliability, security, and system performance in production.
• Lead engineering workstreams and mentor junior-to-mid-level engineers while collaborating with product, design, and ML infrastructure teams.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software engineering and product-building experience with production systems at scale.
• 3+ years integrating LLMs, foundation models, and modern AI APIs into user-facing enterprise products.
• Experience with AI orchestration frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or multi-agent frameworks, plus advanced prompt engineering.
• Strong cloud-native engineering experience with AWS or GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, infrastructure-as-code, and GitOps tooling.
• Experience with system design, automated model evaluation, observability, feature flags, databases, caching, queues, testing, and security practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or an equivalent technical field; technical leadership and mentoring experience.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a relevant technical field.
• Full-stack experience with React, TypeScript, Python, FastAPI, or Django.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, Celery, Kafka, SQS, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Sentry, Datadog, or LaunchDarkly.
