Location: Burbank, California, United States; onsite manufacturing environment

Salary: $100,999.00–$117,575.30 per year

Crane Aerospace & Electronics supplies critical systems and components for aerospace and defense applications, including aircraft brake control systems and cabin actuation solutions.

What you will do

  • Design and improve manufacturing methods, procedures, processes, layouts, flow, fixtures, and tooling for production.
  • Investigate manufacturing problems, identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and drive product and cost improvements.
  • Review customer specifications, statements of work, new product designs, design changes, and manufacturing change requests.
  • Evaluate production facilities, equipment, and materials with Production, Purchasing, vendors, customers, and other groups.
  • Develop operating instructions, manufacturing metrics, operator training, and procedures for assembly and machine operations.
  • Prepare cost analyses, ROI calculations, and business cases for quotations, make-or-buy decisions, capital equipment, and productivity improvements.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
  • Practical knowledge of modern production principles and methods in high-technology electronics manufacturing.
  • Basic knowledge of material characteristics, processing, chemicals, electrical systems, mechanical systems, fluids, and heat transfer.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all organizational levels.
  • Only US Persons will be considered where access to Controlled Data or Information is required; the role is subject to ITAR requirements.
