Salary: $100,000–$140,000 per year, based on skills, education, and experience.

What you will do

  • Translate Mil-DoD and customer engineering requirements into manufacturing plans, bills of material, drawings, route sheets, work instructions, and test procedures.
  • Support production of mechanical and electromechanical components and assemblies, ensuring compliance with engineering documents and specifications.
  • Design and deploy tooling and fixtures, improve manufacturability, and reduce production cost and time.
  • Troubleshoot assembly, machining, testing, repair, and product-quality issues while supporting MRB activities.
  • Prepare engineering changes and review controlled manufacturing and quality documentation.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, materials, quality, vendors, and customer representatives; provide operator training and mechanical design support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Aerospace Engineering.
  • 7–10 years of manufacturing engineering or configuration management experience, including Mil-DoD and aerospace manufacturing.
  • Strong ERP experience and knowledge of manufacturing planning, BOMs, supply chain interfaces, and MRP systems.
  • Experience with MIL-STD documents, GD&T, ASME Y14.5, Mil-Std-973, mechanical and electromechanical drawings, and first article inspections.
  • Knowledge of casting, machining, sheet metal fabrication, metal finishing, assembly, PCBA, wire harnesses, heat treatment, and aerospace coatings.
  • Must be a U.S. person under ITAR requirements, such as a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, political asylee, or refugee. Ability to lift up to 35 lbs is required.

Nice to have

  • Experience with SAP, APICS-format demand and supply planning, or MRP systems.
  • CAD or solid modeling experience with Creo/ProE or CATIA.
  • Experience with HVAC, diesel engine systems, manufacturing readiness, mechanical design, RCCA, and CAPA.
