Maintenance Repair Technician II (Airport Ground Support)

Location: Philadelphia International Airport, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. Onsite work on the airport ramp and in baggage conveyor areas; the position starts on the 3rd shift, 10:00 PM–6:30 AM, with availability for other shifts, weekends, and holidays.

What you will do

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain baggage conveyor, control, and related airport equipment.
• Perform preventive and unscheduled maintenance, including inspections, dismantling, rebuilding, refurbishment, and replacement of mechanical components.
• Clear and reset baggage system jams and support baggage-handling operations.
• Record maintenance activities accurately in the CMMS and complete preventive and corrective maintenance logs.
• Perform control room operator duties, read equipment manuals and work orders, and operate vehicles, forklifts, golf carts, and other equipment.
• Follow safety procedures while working around aircraft, moving machinery, heavy equipment, chemicals, vibration, loud noise, weather, and confined spaces.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in equipment maintenance and maintenance operations.
• Mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair skills.
• Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics and use Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain an airport security badge.
• Ability to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift, including weekends and holidays, and perform physically demanding work including ladder use and lifting up to 49 pounds.
